Last night, I took my mother to The Majestic Grille and JERSEY BOYS at the Orpheum for her birthday.
I have never been to The Majestic Grille and was excited to try it out. I called earlier in the day to make reservations and found out they offer a Pre-Theatre special for $26.95 per person (plus tax and gratuity) when there is a show at the Orpheum. Reservations must be made a minimum of 2 hours prior to curtain. The special includes your choice of select starters, entreee and desserts (Pre-Theatre Menu items subject to change).
We both decided to have a caesar salad, Petite Rib Eye 10oz, bearnaise sauce, garlic mashed potatoes and for dessert I had the Lemon Cheesecake and my mother had the Key Lime Pie. Everything was amazing and we enjoyed sitting upstairs and had a wonderful view of the black & white movie they show. Next time you are downtown, I highly recommend trying The Majestic Grille.
After dinner, we walked over to the Orpheum to see JERSEY BOYS.
JERSEY BOYS is the Best Musical about Rock and Roll Hall of Famers The Four Seasons: Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. I loved how it told their entire story from when they were blue-collar kids who wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and then became one of the greatest successes in pop music history. It was so much fun being able to laugh at the comedy and enjoy many of the songs I grew up hearing such as, "Sherry,” “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” “Rag Doll,” “Oh What a Night” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.” This show would make for a great date night or girls night out. I would not recommend this for young kids as there is quite a bit of bad language.
