Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge in Memphis!
Links provided in this post may be from affiliate programs which earns My Memphis Mommy a small commission. Thanks for clicking!October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! I have decided to challenge all of my readers to help donate to an amazing cause. There will be a box at the Cordova Library from today until Friday, October 26th in front of the circulation desk where you can take your lids and codes to. Or you can bring them to our next coupon swap at the Cordova Library on Friday, October 26th from 10am-12pm.
The My Memphis Mommy goal this year will be to collect 5,000 lids and codes from participating products. There will be a pick up from the library each week. With a final pick up on October 26th.
This year the Memphis-MidSouth Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Zeta Tau Alpha are teaming up to collect lids! Zeta Tau Alpha will enter and submit the lid codes so all you need to do is start collecting. Set a box in your works break room and challenge your co-workers to get involved as well.
Starting in September, more than 20 General Mills' brands will carry pink Save Lids to Save Lives® lids. This is the 13th year Yoplait is conducting its Save Lids to Save Lives program.
For each pink lid received and each code redeemed online, General Mills will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, up to $2,500,000. Pink Lids collected in OUR AREA, STAY IN OUR AREA! Clip and collect pink lids found on participating products like Yoplait, Honey Nut Cheerios, Green Giant, Progresso, Nature Valley, Pillsbury, Betty Crocker and others.
Have a scout troop, school or other group that would like to compete to save the most lids? Email info@komenmemphis.org the location and they will bring you a collection bin.
Komen Memphis MidSouth and Zeta Tau Alpha very much appreciate your support.
25% of all funds collected are dedicated to breast cancer research and the remaining funds stay here in the MidSouth for the women, men and their families of our community.
Together we are making a real impact in our fight against breast cancer.
