Mud Island Fireworks and Activities

Visitors can enjoy all the offerings of the park throughout the day includingthe Mississippi RiverMuseum, the Riverwalk,pedal boat, canoe, kayak and bicycle rentals, and kiddie rides and games. Thenstay late to rock in the festivities with live music from the The Andy ChildsBand on the Southfield.The park will remain open until the conclusion of the fireworks display, whichis set to begin around 9:00 p.m.
Parking is available inthe Mud Island Parking Garage (on Front St. at Poplar Ave.), outside the North entrance on Island Drive, orvisitors can ride the Monorail for $4.00 or walk across the Walk Bridgefree of charge. Blankets, picnic baskets, and lawn chairs are welcome. Food anddrink concessions will be available. NO PETS, PERSONAL FIREWORKS, ALCOHOL, orGRILLS ALLOWED IN THE PARK.
*MudIsland RiverPark will open at 10:00 a.m.
*Independence Dayactivities will begin at 6:00 p.m.
*Fireworks displaywill start around 9:00 p.m.
