The Memphis Botanic Garden has LOTS of activites for you and your family this summer!
Candy Plant Land
Opening Party
June 1st, 6-8 p.m.
Children become playing pieces in a life-sized version of one of their favorite games as they travel along the stepping stone path and learn about the plants used to make their favorite sweet treats!
Garden members $5/non-members $10. Call 636-4131 for reservations.
CandyplantLand Idea Garden will be open through the summer of 2012, included with regular Garden admission.
Mudpie Mondays
Join us on the Little Garden Patio from 11am-1pm, Mondays, June through August, and use our dishes, spoons, and nature’s decorations to “bake” your own cake creations. Drop-in activity; free with garden admission. No reservations needed.
Fridays in June-Gramps Camps
Fridays in July-Sweet Treats
10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
Summer is a great time to bring the children for hands-on activities in My Big Backyard! Supplies are $3 for Garden members, $8 for non-members; includes Garden admission. No reservations needed.
Do you know what it means when you hear "thunder" in My Big Backyard? Time to head over to Raindrop Stop for a cool summer shower! Every 20 minutes, chill out under the raindrops...then watch and see how they flow into Critter Creek and the Pond Out Back, just like real precipitation fills our rivers and streams.
Beat the heat with our annual Sprinkler Day, July 14th. We'll turn sprinklers on and off at various locations throughout the Garden from 10 am to noon.
