About the Memphis Greek Festival

The Memphis Greek Festival transports its visitors to the shores of the Mediterranean Sea with a two-day lineup of culinary, musical, and cultural events. Authentic Greek dancers sashay through traditional Greek dances throughout the day, and chefs sear skewer after skewer of moist, seasoned meat. Guests enjoy a traditional Greek feast for lunch or dinner, filling up on plates of succulent lamb and pork shish kebabs, Grecian–style chicken, and spanakopita, and washing it down with traditional Greek beers and wines. Diners take refuge under a tented courtyard, where they munch on side dishes of fluffy rice pilaf, homemade Greek bread, or pastries such as baklava while enjoying the authentic live tunes of The Orion Exprezz Hellenic Orchestra. After allowing time for digestion, guests can take an educational tour through the church or step up for a lesson in Greek dance with instructor Liz Ramage. Instead of sending a letter to Santa by launching a thousand paper airplanes, kids can keep busy at the Bounce N' Fun, and munch on treats such as candied apples and slushies.
