People ask me all the time how I manage to spend only $50 a week for household/grocery items. (Before our 3rd daughter was born it was $40). I wanted to use today's grocery shopping trip as an example.
I rely heavily on Manger's specials. I go shopping @ Kroger frequently (3 times a week) These are quick trips. I meal plan in advance and try to wait till I find those items at the lowest price possible.
I went out to buy things for taco night and I was super happy to see my turkey on manager special for $1.29 as I was planning to pay full price! I had a $2.00 off catalina for Ortega products. I had a digital e-coupon for the Crunch bar for $.35 and they are on sale for $.50. The salad was on Manager's Special for $1.00 and my coupon was $.50 off so I got it for free. The Danimals squeeze yogurt (which I freeze so my kids don't make a mess with it) and with freezing it will last longer. The $1.00/1 coupon I got both of these for free! The total for these items was $3.44! I already have my cheese, sour cream and shells all bought last week at very low prices! What great deals have you found? Please e-mail and let me know!!!

I got some ground turkey last week on manager's special too. I also snagged some of the sweet italian turkey sausage for $1.50 each...I use a lot of that so I got all 6 that were there.
LOVE those manager specials!!
