Would you like the opportunity to help someone in need? In celebration of its 50th birthday, Pampers is recognizing how much parenting has changed over the years, and is sharing their belief that every baby is a little miracle that deserves to be celebrated, supported and protected, by unveiling its Little Miracle Mission campaign – a program that delivers acts of kindness to miracles and their families while encouraging parents to support others. They sent me a $50 American Express! They challenges me to find a little miracle that I could use the card to help them with a random act of kindness! HERE IS HOW I USED MY PAMPERS $50 AMERICAN EXPRESS
Our church is currently hosting homeless who are in a program to help them secure housing and employment. A single father with a 11 month old arrived on Sunday and I was thrilled to be able to get him Pampers size 3 diapers, and Pampers wipes, and Gerber formula, 3 shirts and and 2 pairs of pants. Yes, of course I used coupons to get some great deals ;)
Pampers is also asking everyone to pay-it-forward by participating in the first Little Miracle Mission- to congratulate and offer support to an expectant mother with a gift or surprise gesture. Once more than 2,500 people pledge that they have achieved this mission, Pampers will respond by giving baby showers to expectant mothers nationwide just in time for Mother’s Day. Pampers will issue different missions throughout the entire year to celebrate all aspects of parenthood, and with the help of parents, family and friends, they hope to touch the lives of every baby born in the next year.
THANK YOU PAMPERS FOR LETTING ME HELP SOMEONE IN MY COMMUNITY AND ALLOW ONE OF MY READERS TO HELP SOMEONE! Opinions expressed are entirely mine.

HI Shana
I am enetering the contest on behalf of a friend in need of baby items such as this. She is married and has one child who is 12 years old. Surprisingly she recently found out she is pregnant at 39. Not planned but accepting of God's plan. The complicated part starts here. About a year and half ago, she unexpectedly had a stroke due to birth control contraception, she was in ICU on the ventilator and near death. She survived. Shortly following she began having seizures. This can be life threatening for a fetus so there is constant hope to deliver before another seizure occurs. Seizures had also kept her from being able to work or drive. Her husband is in remission from cancer and on disability so he is unable to work as well. About 3 weeks ago, he had a seziure and too was unable to drive. They do not have many family resources to fall back on and are seeing some tough times right now. So many obstacles completely out of there control have led them to these harder times. She is always smiling, always "in control" when I would be falling apart. She works at St. Jude always giving and helping all those families in need. She is a wonderful friend and mother who would be very appreciative of any help so I appreciate you all considering her for the gift.
Thanks

One of the nicest people that I know has a 1 year old and an 8 year old and is currently battling breast cancer. I would give the card to her. There are so many thing that they could use it for. Diapers, food, or just a night together as a family is what this family needs. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it and I would love to help her even if it just a little bit.

Wow! This is a great idea from Pampers! I think there are many great ways to use this. I am thinking of tornado victims, the homeless which Memphis Union Mission helps, and those with unplanned pregnancies helped by Birthright. I will begin praying about which one the Lord would have me help should I win. I can definitely let you know which one that was chosen. Thanks so much!
I would love to win this $50 American Express Card for a dear friend of mine. She is a student at the university where I work. She has carried a full class load (18 hours!) while working 15-20 hours a week for me and working 20 hours a week at another job. She is a senior in college, so she doesn't have much money. The two jobs she has pay minimum wage and it all goes towards her rent and bills.
She found out last year that she was pregnant. It it her senior year of college and she graduates later this month. She was very determined to graduate on time even while pregnant. Then she found out she was having TWINS!
She gave birth to two beautiful baby boys last month. She was able to complete her senior year of college, work two jobs and take care of two newborns the last part of her senior year. She even came back to work two weeks after deliverying the boys!
She is an amazing young lady with amazing drive. I would love to be able to help her out by giving her this $50 gift card. As of next week she will be a new college graduate and will not have a job.
Thanks!

I would love to win this $50 gift card for a dear friend of mine.
She is a college senior carrying an 18 hour course load. She will graduate next week. Soon after classes started last year she found out she was pregnant. She has a huge course load, was working 15-20 hours a week for me and another 15-20 hours a week at another part-time job. She was determined to graduate ontime no matter what.
Then she found out she was pregnant with TWINS! She continued to work both jobs, do all her studying and pass her last year of college.
Last month she gave birth to two beautiful baby boys. Right at the end of her senior semester (can we says tests tests and more tests!). She worked both jobs and did her course work right up until the day before she was admitted to the hospital!
She will graduate next week. She is an amazing young lady with a strong belief that God will put her where he wants her.
I would love to be able to win this for her and help her out.
Thanks!

I would like to give this gift card to a young lady who is raising 3 children at the young age of 20. In December, she secretly had a child, hid the pregnancy from her family and put the child up for adoption because she was so ashamed. After being depressed because of her actions, she contacted me about the situation and we went to go get her baby back. She is young, but an excellent mother. She struggles financially and I promised that I would help in any way possible. She is a very determined young lady and her babies shouldn't have to suffer for her mistakes.
I would like to use this card for a military family at my church. My friend has three beautiful kids aged 10, 4 and 9 months old. Her husband is currently stationed in Colorado and is being sent to Afghanistan in the next month for a tour of duty. She's been so strong for her family and really deserves some help.
I would like to enter to win this $50 gift card in order to help one special little girl that has inspired people all over the country. She is 10 months old this week and was not supposed to live past birth. Early on, while still in the womb Baby L was diagnosed with Trisomy 18, a chromosome disorder. Most babies with this diagnosis do not live past birth. Of the ones that do survive birth, 80% die within the first 90 days. Baby L has surpassed all odds and is now 10 months old! Physically and mentally she is at the level of a one month old, but this little girl is a fighter. She just had surgery to have a g-tube inserted in her tummy and she is on a list for heart surgery. However, it is very difficult to find a surgeon willing to operate on her, because in their words, "Babies with T18 are INCOMPATIBLE with life". I can't imagine having someone say that to me about my baby. But her parents have taken it all in stride. They have found a doctor willing to do the surgery, now they are only waiting for a date. Needless to say, her medical bills are out of this world, and even a little bit would be a blessing to this family! But despite all of her medical issues and the bills that keep coming their way, Baby L's mommy and daddy have never once complained about the situation they were handed. They consider it a joy and a blessing to be considered worthy by God to be blessed with this little girl. They are all an inspiration and a testament to how we should all be in times of trials.

Although I am not in need, I belong to an organization called the Elizabeth Ann Seton Program. The ladies in this organization have chances to volunteer, attend educational meetings, and have other opportunities to earn points to redeem for household items and baby items. I have seen countless times young women trying to make it, still volunteering just to get enough points to get a bottle of dish detergent. They also get points for attending school, so there is an incentive for them to try to better themselves. Most of these ladies have jobs, but are struggling to get by and can't afford the essential items. Using my couponing skills, I would try to make the most of this gift card.
I am part of an organization called the Elizabeth Ann Seton Program. This program is about mothers mentoring moms. The mothers in the group earn points for attending educational meetings, and doing any type of volunteer work. The program also rewards the mothers for going to college. Most of these women do work but are struggling to afford the essential items. I have seen these girls volunteering even when they are already bogged down, just to earn points for diapers and a bottle of baby wash. The program helps in countless other ways, and I am sure with my couponing skills that I can put this gift card to great use to help one of the mother's out.
