As a part of their family series, the Orpheum is having a one night showing of BARRIO GRRRL on Thursday, April 6th @ 6:00 p.m. This is an hour show so your kiddos won't be up too late and what a special treat to enjoy the Orpheum for what will be an amazing show. Look below to see the synopsis:
Spunky 9-year-old Ana is faced with this very big decision. On the one hand, as her alter-ego Barrio Grrrl with her invisible sidekick Amazing Voice, she's pretty busy preserving justice in the barrio and protecting her neighborhood. On the other hand, in the world where Ana lives with her abuelo (grandfather) and misses her mom who is far, far away in Iraq, reality is sneaking up on her. It's time for Ana to decide what's most important: being a superhero or a girl who works little miracles in real life.

I want to take my daughter to see the show because she got all As on her report card and at 8 years old has already tested on 160 accelerated reading books so far this school year.
