Basic Couponing Tips…….
Savings Tips:
- Spend time thinking about what you buy the most and how frequently you use those products. Know the companies that you purchase products from. (they certainly know all about you and your shopping habits)
- Only buy products when they are at the lowest price possible and you have a coupon, buy multiple (stock pile). Be careful not to buy more that what you will use by the expiration date of perishable products.
- Keep your coupons organized, find a system that works for you! Keep your coupons with you. (notebook with pockets, folder with envelopes)The Couponizer, Virtual Filing System)
- Be creative in freezing (hot dog buns, chx. Marshmallows)
- Shop at multiple stores, do frequent small shopping trips opposed to “big monthly trips”

Coupon Tips:
o Unless it states otherwise if a product is 2 for $3.00 you do not have to buy 2. 10 for $10 you do not have to buy 10 items
o You can stack a store coupon (Target, Kroger etc) with a Manufactors coupon.
o Unless stated you can use a buy one get one free (BOGO) coupon on an item that is on sale for BOGO and get both products free without buying any of that product.
o Read the coupon carefully if it states for example any Johnson and Johnson product, its means any trial size etc. Be creative in how you read your coupons.
o For printing coupons I have found Firefox (ff) is more user friendly than Internet Explorer (IE)
o Coupons double at Kroger and Schnucks.
