Do your toddlers drive you crazy anticipating going on vacation or special visitor (Grandparent etc,) coming to visit? Well then this idea might work well for you! Shana's husband just left for 30 days for a work trip. No matter how many times we look at a calendar they just can't get that concept in their head. So we made a construction paper chain of 30 links and each night the girls and I cut one off. I think we will do the same to anticipate the first day of Kindergarten. Have an idea to share? Please send it our way!!

When my brother and I were kids we used construction paper chains to count down to Christmas. Using it like you are with your girls is a great idea!
When my husband is on a trip, I make my boys their own calendar that has big numbers in each square of how many days are left. Each night, they take turns marking off a square. Same idea as the chain, just helping them understand a calendar concept.
