What's for Dinner Tonight?

Ever since my "Freeze Day" last Saturday I've been on this kick! I know Ham & Beans isn't for everybody. My dad loved them and growing up my mom fixed them. In the 15 years I've been away from home I have never fixed them. When I was home for the Holidays my mom made them and asked me "why do you never fix Ham & Beans". Honestly, I guess I just kinda forgot. When I went to the grocery store last week to pick up items for my "Freeze Day" I picked up a Glazed Spiral Ham too. The only store here in San Antonio is HEB and it's alot like your military commissaries in the sense that they have over a 100 in store coupons just laying around AND they had a $10 off coupon on the ham, it cost around $8 bucks. Any whoo I fixed my ham a couple of nights ago, froze part of it, had ham sandwiches a couple of days, and had this fabulous bone that I thought hey I'll make Ham & Beans! After calling mom twice to be coached through it this is the final product (these are the kids portions, gone!) I served it with my free corn bread muffins I made last week. Yummy! I was so proud and it was so good I had to share.

So what did this meal cost me???? $1.26 and we have leftovers!
